"[Youssoufa] is very powerful and skilful," he told Insider in May 2021. "He is already at one of the top clubs for improving his game. The club gives you a chance to play. It does not matter what age you are."
The youngster has filled in the void left by Haaland's departure to the Premier League, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 14 appearances. His form was such that he made the plane for 2022年世界杯魔咒 Germany's World Cup squad in Qatar.
"I'm really happy for Youssoufa," Haaland said after Moukoko's record-breaking debut. "I'd really like to play with him sometime. I think he's one of the biggest talents in the world right now. He's only 16 years and one day old, and he's playing fantastically. He has a great career ahead of him."
According to TalkSport, Liverpool are taking a look at 17-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko, whose deal in the Bundesliga expires at the end of the season as things stand, and the Reds are the favourites for his signature.
Liverpool failed to replace Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino last summer, and may need to sign a forward next summer, as Roberto Firmino could also leave the club when his contract expires.

Manchester City star Erling Haaland has previously stated his admiration for a rising Borussia Dortmund star who is reportedly a player on Liverpool's radar for 2023.
This isn't the first time Haaland has praised Moukoko, however.

A recent report from Spanish source Sport sta 世界杯足球 tes that Liverpool, along with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain 卡塔尔世界杯 and Real Madrid, are keeping tabs on Moukoko ahead of a potential move next summer. |
